Here we are and here it is!!

I know this gives some people anxiety but I honestly haven't felt an ounce of it.  I am SO excited and SO ready and this is extremely exciting.  :)

Let me take you on a tour of sorts {ok I know it's basically just one big room, but here we go}:

Entering into our back door, you will now enter into a small room, like a mudroom.  This room used to be a little longer, front to back, and was our laundry room/back entry.

When you walk in and turn to your right, there will be a cased opening into the kitchen

If you turn back a little more to your right, sharing the wall with the back door, there will be a bench and hooks above for backpacks/purses/coats and cubbies or baskets below for shoes {we don't wear shoes indoors...as a "goal"...not always accomplished}.

When you enter into the kitchen, there will be a counter on the right under the window.  On the same wall as the window, to the left, will be the refrigerator.  Closest to you, on the right of the window, will be a counter and microwave above.  And lots and lots of DRAWERS. Directly in front of you will be a large cased opening into the den and dining room. {right now it is surrounded by the plastic you see...and that column in the middle behind that door is coming out}.

After walking into the kitchen, turning to your left, there will be an island running the length of the kitchen, in the middle of the room.

If you walk to the window shown in the previous picture, and turn around towards the smaller window, this is what you will see.  Except hopefully there will be an island in the middle like I mentioned, and a little bit of sheetrock and paint and flooring and the like.

Turning a bit to your right you will see a wall of cabinets between two cased openings where the range will be.

Here is a straight on shot of the wall where the range will be.  This wall has not been framed yet so you can still see the pantry/laundry beyond, the cased opening to the back entry to your left, and a cased opening to the right to the Master Bedroom.

This is looking at the cased opening to the right, that enters into a small hallway and that door goes to the Master Bedroom.

Walking into that small hallway, on the left wall is another door that will enter into the pantry/laundry room. {that column of studs will be removed}.

All these pictures are probably just a cluster of wreckage to all of you, but it is a realization of a dream to me!  I love construction sites.  One of my favorite stages in a kitchen or bath or any kind of remodel that I am a part of is the demo stage.  It makes me happy and excited and it's so cleansing.  Out with the old, in with the {stylish} new! :)
